After many years of incredibly hard work as an advocate Alan has eventually hung up his robes in order to dedicate all of his time to the Estate. It has taken 30 years of relentless work for Alan to realise his dream of producing some of the best wines in South Africa. Alan is also an avid motorcyclist who recently, together with his son Daniel, took his BMW 1200 GS motorcycle and drove it all the way up into Africa from Cape Town to the Kenyan border. |

Lisha Nelson is Alan's youngest daughter and was appointed as the new winemaker at the end of 2007. Her 2008 Sauvignon Blanc is exceptional and her 2008 Rose was recently adjudged the Champion Rose in the Paarl region (2008 SA Terrior Competition). She is a perfectionist when it comes to wine production and has all the makings to become one of the best winemakers in South Africa.

The staff in the cellar are used to early mornings and late nights as they assist Lisha with the all- important task of creating quality handcrafted wines.
